Our Story
From boutique practice to trusted audit firm
1992
Peter Tang & Associates founded
Our story began in 1992, when Dato' Peter Tang and Yeo Eng Thong, both alumni of what is now PwC, established Peter Tang & Associates. The boutique firm built its reputation in accounting, tax, and corporate finance, helping growing companies prepare for listing on the then KLSE Second Board.
As the practice grew, its parent group was restructured and listed on the Catalist board of the Singapore Exchange as Axcelasia Inc. The audit practice continued as YT Associates, with Yeo Eng Thong leading the transition and keeping the same experienced team and long-standing client relationships.
Today, YT Associates (AF1112) combines Big Four-trained leadership with the personal attention of a boutique practice. Our risk-focused, data-driven approach helps clients meet their reporting obligations while strengthening controls and decision-making.
Together, YT Associates and Peter Tang & Associates provide audit, corporate advisory, restructuring, accounting, and payroll services to Malaysian businesses.

1978–1981
Professional roots
Dato' Peter Tang qualifies as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser and completes an MBA in the United Kingdom, where he also works with major accounting firms. Yeo Eng Thong qualifies as a Certified Public Accountant, beginning a career that includes PwC in Malaysia and Singapore.
1992
Practice founded
Peter Tang & Associates is established, focusing on accounting, tax, and corporate finance.
2006
Global tax network
Dato' Peter Tang begins leading Taxand Malaysia, part of a global network of tax advisers.
2015
Group listing
The parent group lists on Singapore's Catalist board as Axcelasia Inc, and the audit practice continues as YT Associates.

Dato' Peter Tang founded Peter Tang & Associates in 1992 after senior roles at Price Waterhouse and Baxter Healthcare, and has extensive experience in Malaysian tax advisory. Clients turn to Dato' Peter for tax structuring, valuations, and guidance through M&A and listings. He also served as CEO of Axcelasia Inc., an integrated professional services group listed on SGX Catalist.
